The Children's Trust - New Customer

The Children’s Trust has selected Darwin Consultants to work with them on a new project that is focused on streamlining their business process flow and improving the overall efficiency of the organisation.

Based in Tadworth, Surrey, The Children’s Trust is a national charity providing care, education and therapy to children with multiple disabilities and complex health needs.  At the UK Charity Awards 2005, The Children’s Trust was voted the ‘Best Charity to Work for’ and the Nursing Times named the charity as number two in their list of the best 100 places for nurses to work in the UK.

A recent business review carried out by The Children’s Trust identified the need to streamline their business processes and support these processes with a more integrated software solution.

With all areas of the business affected, an initial requirements gathering phase is needed to help ensure the final solution will be correctly scoped and fully meet the needs of the target user group. Darwin Consultants, experienced system analysts and software designers, have been initially selected to work with The Children’s Trust to produce a formal Requirements Specification.  Using a proven methodology, a Senior Consultant from Darwin will spend time interviewing key stakeholders and users within The Children’s Trust, understanding how they currently work and documenting their requirements for a new software solution to support them in the future.  Once complete and agreed within The Children’s Trust, this document will serve as a reference for all subsequent phases in the software development life cycle.
